They told me I'd better find a safe route, see? Said "Son, that music won't pay the rent for tea." I stand here, feeling the velvet of the grand, With a future they don't see clutched in my own hand.

I know the halls are crowded, the classrooms are full, But the weight of a textbook, it just makes me dull. I might be missing out on their perfect attendance, But my soul has found freedom, a true independence.

Love is a wildfire, it burns and then it stops, It leaves you with ashes and a few lonely drops. It breaks the glass, then it simply walks away, But this music will be here until my dying day. It's the only loyal friend I know for sure.
