A Warm-Hearted Folk Storyteller Carrying Memories Like Lantern Light

A sensitive and imaginative folk-inspired musician who turns memory, homeland, and quiet longing into deeply human songs. With a warm emotional tone and a free, poetic spirit, the artist creates music that feels like walking through old roads, open fields, and places we still carry inside us.

In “The Last Lantern,” the musician expresses the feeling of a light that never disappears, even after years of distance. Through images of rain, western wind, emerald fields, rivers, blackbirds, and an old folk song, the track gently reflects on home, memory, and the stories that guide us back to ourselves.

    The Last Lantern

By the road beyond the meadow

Stands a lantern in the rain

It has watched a thousand travelers

    Come and go again

Through the winter through the silence

Through the years that slipped away

Still it burns beside the old stone wall

At the end of every day

And the western wind keeps calling

Like a voice I used to know

    The Last Lantern shining softly

Through the dark and through the cold

Guiding hearts that lost their way

    Back to stories long untold

The Last Lantern keeps on burning

Though the night grows deep and long

Like the memory of a homeland

Living in an old folk song

I can hear the distant river

I can hear the blackbird sing

    Every hill and every valley

    Carries echoes on the wind

Though the roads have led me farther

Than I ever thought I'd roam

There are lights you never leave behind

    There are places called home

And the western wind keeps calling

From the fields of emerald green

    The Last Lantern shining softly

Through the dark and through the cold

Guiding hearts that lost their way

    Back to stories long untold

The Last Lantern keeps on burning

Though the night grows deep and long

Like the memory of a homeland

Living in an old folk song

A Small Light That Still Remembers the Way Home

“The Last Lantern” is a song I wrote with the feeling of looking back at a place I may have left behind, but never truly lost.

There are memories that stay with us quietly. Not loudly, not painfully every day, but like a lantern still burning somewhere in the rain. For me, this song carries that kind of light — the kind that reminds you of home, old roads, familiar winds, and the parts of yourself that time could never take away.

I wanted this song to feel warm, honest, and a little free, like a folk story passed through the wind.Even when life takes us far from where we began, I believe there are certain lights we never leave behind.

I hope “The Last Lantern” reaches anyone who has ever missed a place, a person, or a version of themselves they still hold close.
