Lina Wong, A Bright City-Pop Voice Turning Rainy Streets Into Emotional Light
Lina Wong is a free-spirited and expressive city-pop artist with a bright, sensory approach to storytelling. Her music captures the colors of the city — neon lights, rainy pavement, passing strangers, quiet cafés, and the emotions that linger between movement and memory.
In “Rain On Orchard Road,” Lina turns a rainy night in the city into a vivid emotional scene. Through Orchard Road, blue umbrellas, fading reflections, taxi lights, and cold coffee, the song expresses loneliness with warmth and leaves space for hope, as if love could still find its way back through the rain.

Rain On Orchard Road

Rain On Orchard Road
Rain keeps falling
On Orchard Road
City lights
Begin to blur
Every window
Holds a story
None of them
Are ours
Neon colors
Touch the pavement
Like old memories
Passing by
Your reflection
Walks beside me
Then fades
Into the night
Rain on Orchard Road
Keeps calling me
Every drop
Sings your name
Though the city
Never sleeps
My lonely heart
Stays the same
Blue umbrellas
Pass me by
Still I wait
Without a sound
Somewhere in
This endless rain
Love will find
Its way around
Coffee growing colder
In my hands
Taxi lights
Roll away
Every stranger
Has somewhere to go
I still linger
Here
This old street
Knows my silence
More than anyone
Ever could
But tomorrow
Starts with morning
Not goodbye
Forever
Rain on Orchard Road
Keeps calling me
Every drop
Sings your name
Though the city
Never sleeps
My lonely heart
Stays the same
Blue umbrellas
Pass me by
Still I wait
Without a sound
Somewhere in
This endless rain
Love will find
Its way around
Somewhere in This Endless Rain, Love Will Find Its Way
“Rain On Orchard Road” is a song I wrote while imagining a city that keeps moving, even when one heart is standing still.
I wanted this song to feel like walking through rain under neon lights — every color a little blurred, every reflection carrying a memory, every passing umbrella feeling like part of a story. There is loneliness in this song, but I did not want it to feel completely sad. I wanted it to hold a little brightness too.
For me, “Rain On Orchard Road” is about waiting, remembering, and still believing that love can find a way around.Even when the coffee gets cold, even when the taxis roll away, even when the city never sleeps, the heart can still keep a small light on.
I hope this song feels like a rainy night you can walk through slowly. And I hope it reminds you that not every goodbye has to be forever.
