Neon Crossroads

Neon signs are buzzing loud, the city dressed in gold,

I’m walking to the bar alone, pretending I’m in control.

But then she passes by me slow, like a shadow wrapped in light,

Her perfume hits me once, and I forget the Friday night.

Do I keep on walking forward, down this crowded avenue?

Or is this one of those moments life is telling me to choose?

I’m standing at the neon crossroads,

Halfway to the bar, halfway to her glow.

My heartbeat’s running faster than my steps can go,

Should I chase her silhouette or let the night unfold?

Maybe fate already knows

Here at the neon crossroads.

Her heels echo through the night, like a rhythm meant for me,

I catch her turning slightly, like she felt my eyes, maybe.

City lights are flickering, like they’re cheering me ahead,

Every sign is pointing somewhere, but I’m lost inside my head.

Maybe love begins like this, one second you can’t explain,

One stranger’s passing glance rewrites everything again.

Should I follow where she’s going? Should I play it safe instead?

My heart says “run,” the night says “stay,”

Guess I’ll go where I’m led.

I’m frozen at the neon crossroads,

One more breath away from letting her know.

If I turn around now, maybe fate will show

Should I chase her silhouette or let the night flow?

Either way the story goes,

I’m here at the neon crossroads.
